The Williamson County Amateur Radio Emergency Service, WC-ARES, consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.

For operations, WC-ARES uses the following open repeaters:

• 147.080 PL=100.0 in Georgetown (Primary)
• 146.640 PL=162.2 in Georgetown (Backup)
• 146.700 PL=110.9 in Round Rock (Tertiary)

Located in Williamson County, Texas.  We primarily operate out of the Williamson County Emergency Operation Center or remotely using our Communications Trailer, Go Kits, or other means as necessary.
