Sunday Nets – 8:00 PM

We hold a training net on the WC5EOC 147.080 repeater every Sunday at 8:00 PM. The NET may be on either repeater, depending on conditions.

WC-ARES uses the following open repeaters:

  • 147.080 PL=100.0 in Georgetown (Primary)
  • 146.640 PL=162.2 in Georgetown (Backup)
  • 146.070 PL=110.9 in Round Rock (Tertiary)

Benefits

The benefits of participating in a formal net include:

  • Operational Equipment. Using your ham radio equipment on a weekly basis will ensure your equipment is operating properly. You may find that it is operating well, partially operating, or not operating at all!
  • Information. WC-ARES leaders and members will share information about upcoming meetings, training, or disaster response.
  • Operational Skills. Get on the air, practice good communication protocols, and keep your skills in tip-top shape.
